The Why Files: I have issues with some points
Love your work, But I have issues with some of your points.
1) Color of martian sky is only blue at sunset/sunrise. pink(with a touch of orange) during day (opposite of Earth).
2) Using white balance software is problematic because it will make anything temperature neutral. The only way to know if it worked correctly is to have a known white object in the frame illuminated with white light (like clouds during the day). Try the white balance on a photo of a scene illuminated by a very red sunset and see what it does.
3) I find it hard to believe that if NASA were to edit out stuff with photoshop that it would be as obvious as the examples shown. but every organization has its idiots
4) Not concerned about the Gopher photo -- that test range photos would be mixed up with real photo is par for human error. But why the reddish filter?
5) The retake of the face photo is more interesting, not because the face is missing, but because the sides of the "burm" look constructed -- not natural.
